“I believe in the body’s innate power to heal itself.
In a session, I am just a facilitator for what the body already wants;
relaxed muscles and an open mind.”
-Angela Baccetti, Certified Massage Therapist
Originally from Washington state, Angela Baccetti has just reached a decade here
in beautiful Colorado, a transplant yes, but a true fan just the same.
Angela received her massage training at the Healing Arts Institute in
Fort Collins Co. graduating in 2001. She has completed levels 1 and 2 of
Reiki training and the Upledger CranioSacral program. As a practitioner of
alternative healing Angela has spent the last 7 years perfecting her healing
style.
“A bit of energy work opening into a penetrating deep tissue release,
followed by soothing Swedish comfort, (on every muscle)”
–Eric Carr, Longmont.
Angela is also a full time student at the University of Colorado Boulder
and is pursuing her degree in Physiology.
As a special aside Angela has experience working with show horses
and their riders:
“I generally discuss the problem, whether it’s a twist to the right or left,
or a leg that just won’t go on, with the rider. I then schedule an observatory
session where I come out to visibly witness the problem, and discuss with a
trainer or rider the possible solutions.
Once a goal has been created we then implement a plan to reach it.
An average treatment plan would consist of beginning with massage up to
two times a week for the first two weeks, reassessing to see if the muscles
are maintains and holding their natural resting length, and the position
on the horse and then cutting back to once a week until that also remains
consistent, and so on. The ultimate goal being to have one massage a month
and a beautiful straight rider on a very happy horse.”
